This was always a cultural dichotomy for London-based designer Amy Powney, who was raised off the grid with her family.
After winning the prestigious Vogue award for Best Young Designer of the Year and receiving a significant cash injection for her label Mother of Pearl, Powney made a pivotal decision. She resolved to transition her business into a more sustainable endeavor.
